Risk factors for developing fibroids

While many women may develop uterine fibroids, there are several factors that can put you at a higher risk. These include:

👉 Age (most common in women of 30 – 40 years old)

👉 Family history of fibroids

👉 Race (being of African descent)

👉 A diet high in red meat

👉 Vitamin D deficiency

👉 Obesity

👉 No history of pregnancy

👉 Early onset menstruation

If any of the above factors apply to you, it might be time to visit your gynae for a check-up 🙏
